Beaumont Texas, November, 1976 Mike Johnson (FrequenZ) was born into, and always has lived in a life of music. His grandfather and father were both musicians, and together owned several music stores in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. In his early years, Mike experimented with MANY instruments of which most notably included the Trombone, Trumpet, Recorder, Guitar, Piano, and Drums. Together, these gave him a clear understanding of the basic foundation, and overall composure of music and it's harmonious aspects.

 With open doors, Mike exposes himself to a highly eclectic variety of music. Soon after graduating from high school, in 1995, those doors opened wider! Mike began to take a great liking to the Electronic Genre of Music which he had been hearing more and more of. Being introduced to this 'digital sound' by one of his best friends, Mickey, a Tampa Bay area DJ (MixTrixx), Mike allowed the thoughts to spread into the wide world of mixing and DJing. Realizing that his father had been a DJ for many years, previous to his birth, Mike went to him for advice and instruction on how to perfect the art of mixing. Purchasing turntables, and a mixer, Mike began his pursuit to the knowledge of mixing. Soon after, Mike was spinning weekly at the "Trinity Late Night" parties. From here he met many people and artists and moved on to Clubs and Event Bookings. Since late 1995, Mike has been exposing his talents to many audiences, and spun in events and locations numbering in the hundreds.

  More recently, Mike has begun pushing himself to produce music on top of his ability to spin. Mike has produced and co-produced over 50 tracks now, of which several are getting heavy radio play, and doesn't have any thoughts of slowing down. Mike has many goals set, including starting a Record Label, Producing a Mixed CD of all Original/Remix tracks produced by himself, as well as several Entrepreneurial creations up his sleeve. Mike just recently accomplished another huge milestone by signing with 941 Electro, one of the most prestigious breakbeat labels in the underground dance music scene.  Keep your eyes and ears open... If you are just now hearing about FrequenZ... This is only the beginning!
