Welcome to the 941 Electro Groovetech Lounge. This is the place we put all the jazzy Sharaz mixes. This site is filling up with mostly chill-out 2 step/garage productions that Sharaz makes in his spare time. Although you're UNLIKELY to ever hear Sharaz playing any of this during his live sets, we've received more email about these songs than anything else we've ever released and feel it deserves its own page. As a producer it's always a good idea to stretch your legs and obtain a wholly different perspective on producing electronic music. Sharaz, having been a jazz drummer in the past, enjoys going back to his roots every once in a while and that's why the Sharaz Groovetech mixes exist in the first place. This type of garage is very melodic, consisting of dreamy clavinet and Rhodes-sounding chords and is almost the exact antithesis of funky and nu-school breaks. Consisting of more traditional sounds and sometimes real instruments like the saxophone, it has a lot more in common with chill melodic house than breaks. Considering this, the real challenge is to make this style sound "correct". We don't use pre-made loops for any of these mixes. Everything you hear is original. The drum programming is somewhat tricky to master but is well worth the effort to learn. Enjoy and check back often as more clips will be added regularly.
Understand that, like our Aion remix, you need good speakers when listening because the bass is VERY low and won't replay properly on smaller speaker systems.
Warning: this clip will probably sound like crap on small computer speakers since most of these speakers cannot reproduce sub bass properly (you may not even hear it at all!) Don't say we didn't warn you!
