05-07-08:

Upcoming shows:

Tampa - 5/22, @1509 with Tony Faline
Jacksonville - 5/23, @Endo Exo
Sarasota - 5/24 @Rhino Rhoom
Charlotte, NC - 7/18 Tenative, Sharaz Birthday Bash

04-01-08:

Just an FYI, I've picked up a weekly residency at the Rhino Rhoom on Siesta Key in Sarasota. The format is predominately house and electro house. Yes, I play some breaks, but not a whole lot. I am there every Saturday night. If you're interested in coming out, it would be great to see you. For directions to the club, click HERE for a Google map.

09-14-07:

We've submitted five tracks to Beatport. They are populating right now. I plan to submit four or five tracks every two weeks until we have a good cross-section of the 941 catalog. No, I do not know which tracks I will be submitting until I submit them.

Please show your support by ordering a track or two. If you order, I will keep releasing. New tracks will also be posted here along with a blog entry.

09-11-07:

Sorry, forgot to renew the domain. Site was down for a few days. Back now!

After a few years of wrangling with the issue, we're going forward with selling tracks through Beatport. The amount of requests for a place for people to buy tracks has been something I can no longer ignore. Glad to know people want them badly enough. Starting later this week, we will be putting tracks on Beatport for sale. We will be rolling out several tracks at a time every few weeks until there is a good representation of our catalog available to online users. That's a lot of songs, so it'll take a while.

We appreciate your support throughout the years and are happy to provide this to our loyal fans. Yes, new releases will be available through Beatport as well.

05-12-07:

Looks like Ybor City's The Ampitheater is going under and closing its doors within the next two weeks. This was a fantastic place to play and I'm going to miss it. A lot. This leaves a huge hole in the Tampa EDM scene. RIP, Amp. :(

10 Year Sharaz Anniversary CD in the works. May be a triple disc set covering my music from 1998-2008 with a few new tracks for good measure. This is still on the drawing board.

03-15-07:

3/31: Tampa, Florida. The Ampitheater
3/23: Dallas, Texas.

02-04-07:

Video link fixed. Sorry, I have no idea why it stopped linking to the right place.

New Orleans at The Venue THIS FRIDAY 2/9/07. Be there. I do not get to NOLA very often and I haven't been there since 2004, It might be another two or three more years before I go back. ADMISSION IS FREE.

Jacksonville, FL scheduled for 2/24 at the Ocean Club. The OC has cracked down on outside talent, so your support is badly needed.

There is a Ft. Lauderdale date coming up as well. I will post it here when I have more info.

12-23-05:::

035 looks like it's pretty much gone. Thank you.

What a great show at thee Ampitheater in Ybor last week. This has to rank as one of the more memorable events I've played recently. Packed, excellent vibe all around and nice seeing a lot of familiar faces.

We get a lot of email asking if we're will ever sell our old tracks as MP3s. The answer to that, as of right now is "probably not".</ We're not really in a position to have to sell any of our music online, and I really don't have much personal motivation to do so. I've been approached by several online distribution portals, including Beatport, and have NOT yet seen either reliable numbers or even a decent remuneration schedule to bother. If I ever do so, it will be on a very limited basis. Right now, nothing interests me. Sadly, I really do not envision places like Beatport being a long-term viable business model - especially for musicians making a living - for a myriad of reasons, many of them too complicated to get into on this website.

I have turned down two New Years Eve bookings for 06/07. I am staying home this year - this will be the first time since 1998. Where's that bottle of champagne I planned to use last time I was home? I'm sure it's well-aged by now.

Much much love to the people of Dallas and Lizard Lounge for a packed-out show. I was there the day after Thanksgiving and I am always blown away by the attendance. I just love the place. Thanks for coming out. Many thanks to

With DJ Raydar

@ The Loungeunge

Also, many thanks to the people of f Cocoa Beach for a great show at New York South (the old Storm Club). Great to see everyone there.

Looks like I will be in Daytona once again on January 20, 2007.

We were all saddened to learn of the death of Chris Charoensook after a long battle with cancer. Chris, 30 years old, was a big supporter of the Tampa scene and he will be greatly missed by all.

10-09-06:

Upcoming shows:

10/21 Hard Rock/Floyds, Tampa
10/27 Velocity "Scream" Charlotte, NC
11/11 Atlanta, GA
12/16 Ampitheater, Ybor City (Anniversary Party)

"Chicken Juice" and "Release" at the pressing plant.

08-12-06

Black Butta sold out. Those went fairly quick...I guess when we hold off for a year between releases, records rds really do o sell. We're putting "Chicken Juice" and "Release Me" in the mail next week. Same deal this time - limited numbers, so grab one when you see it. I'd go out on a limb and predict these will be in stores by third/fourth week of September.

Speaking of time going by, it's hard to believe I've been doing this DJ thing for nearly nine years now. A lot of people ask exactly what got me into the music. I'd pretty much forgotten the reason myself until I cleaned my closet out a few weeks back. Filing through some old CDs, I came across the very first breaks CD I ever bought.

I picked this up in late June of 1996 on a long drive from Chicago to see my friend Corey Allen (R.I.P.) in Highlands, North Carolina. I stopped in a Best Buy in (of all places) South Bend, Indiana to pick up some music and came across this funky-looking CD. It was mixed by someone named "DJ Hardware", who I'd never heard of before. I specifically remember buying 3 CDs at the time, but I don't even remember what the other two were. I must have listened to DJ Lace's "Feel Me" ("I want your< looooove!"...that fuckin' sample still haunts me) and Cotton Club's "Nu Jack" over and over for hours. That disc stayed in my car for the entire summer that year. In all honesty, I hadn't heard (or even thought of) this CD since 1998 or so, and it was refreshing to hear it again. So, if you want to blame someone for all this nonsense, be sure to blame DJ Hardware the next time you see him. Wherever he may be. And if you want to know where it started, it started in a Best Buy in Indiana.

06-14-060

Cocoa Beachch (6/17) this weekend at the old Storm Club. Hope to see lots of faces there.

941-034 is out as of last week. This 12" triple release (3 songs) has the long-awaited "Black Butta" track. Very limited, it's our first release in a year, so pick it up.

Birmingham, AL on 6/29 with the Breakfasterz. Should be a great evening!

I pulled the DJ List voting icon off the page. It's been kind of flaky for a while now and it's better left off.f.

Few more songs completed over the past few weeks. Look of 941-035 to include "Chicken Juice" and "Release Me". End of July, early August on that one.

Deekline. Stay-tuned.

4-30-06:

Many, many thanks to those who showed at the Ampitheater this Saturday night. Nice to meet many of you and I'm always grateful.

Took a few dates in May, namely a Vancouver, BC (5/26) and Denver, CO (5/27) date. To those ORLANDO peeps who I never see anymore, your wish has been granted. I will be at Antigua on Wednesday, May 24, 2006. As most know by now, my real estate stuff keeps me very preoccupied and it's great to finally take on a few dates. It'll be fun to see everyone.

FINALLY, I have a MySpace music page up. Upcoming dates and locations are there as well. Click herere to visit that page.

Black Butta out yet. Soon...

04-10-06:6:

As soon as I can get the clip uploaded, you can see just how PACKED Jackson, MS was. What a great time and I want to thank the promoters for being such a class act. See you again soon.

Looking like 5/27 in Denver with MONK

Black Butta is going to the presses within a week. My apologies to those who have been waiting on vinyl - my day-to-day schedule is crammed lately. Looking like "Black Butta" and either "Why Don't You" or "Chicken Juice" on the B-side.

I promise I'll try to take more tour dates this summer. I believe my birthday party will again be held at Ocean Club in Jacksonville. 1,200 people showed up last time.e.

03-01-06:

Haven't been taking many dates lately...but...

Jackson, MS on 3/18 with Micro. Should be a lot of fun. There's a Cocoa Beach date coming up in April as well as an Ampitheater (Ybor) date on 4/29. If I can help it, I prefer to stay as close to home as possible these days, and apologize to those promoters who've been turned down for appearance requests. I may ease up on this by the summer.

People have asked when our next 12" is due. Truthfully, I haven't had time to consider more releases at all. I have a stack of music that needs to get released, but I really don't have time to oversee any manufacturing and production at this point.

Of course, those who know me know I have never attended WMC. I hope everyone who goes has a fantastic and safe time.

01-15-06

Food poisoning? Food allergies? I don't know what it was, but I had some sort of reaction to something I ate in Jacksonville last night. Wasn't feeling all that hot when I played, and then this morning I had the worst headache I'd ever experienced. I don't drink, so that couldn't have been the culprit. I'd never experienced a headache like this before, with vomiting (once while on my flight back to Tampa - that was fun) and I'm now covered in hives. Sounds like a food allergy or something. I feel 98% better but this was weird. There's nothing worse than getting sick like that when you're far away from home.

Anyway, Jacksonville, I really appreciate your coming out last night. Despite the cold weather, you all showed up in good numbers. I always enjoy coming up there because everyone's so cool. Thanks again and see you again this summer!

01-06-06

THE WAYBACK MACHINE. Ahhhhhhhhhh....the nostalgia. The sounds of my first DJ job. Here's an old mix from In Extremis (Sarasota) from 1998. This is from waaaaaay back when it was myself, Benny B and Corey Allen (R.I.P.). Lots of vocals around back in those days which meant we had no problem packing the place full of women. Here's a link to the Extremis Tribute Page for all those interested.

Extremis Mix with Benny B & Corey Allen, sometime in mid to late 1998  Click here

Man oh man where does the time go? Seems like yesterday I updated the site. Shame on me. Time flies when you get old. ;-)

Dates: Jax at the Ocean Club on 1/14. Always a great crowd down there. Make sure you peep it.

Charlotte @ Velocity on 1/27. Last show was a total blast, so be there.

Wanted to take a moment to thank all the Tampa fans who showed up for my show at Ampitheater on the 17th, including Deekline. The Amp anniversary parties are always a lot of fun. I think Deek drank himself into sickness.

More dates scheduled...stay tuned...

11-20-05

Maybe they're smoking crack? Looks like I somehow got on the BPM Magazine "America's Favorite DJ" list this year. I've never won anything in my life, but it's nice to finally be acknowledged for once (thanks, BPM). What's so crazy for me is it wasn't so long ago I'd see all these super famous DJs I really admired on that list - never for a second thinking I'd someday see my own name on there. I guess if an idiot like myself can get his name on there then anyone has a shot! How cool is that?

I'll be in Dallas on Turkeyday (11/24) at a tight joint called Blue. Hope to see you turkeys there. ;)

BTW, those who were interested will be happy to know I got my FL Real Estate certification and have been offered a position at a national commercial real estate firm. Who woulda thunk it? I've even been offered a gorgeous office with a terrific view of the city. Wow. Now that all that training's done, I can get back to the business of keeping the site up to date and making some music...at least for now.

Don't forget to come out and see me at the Ampitheater in Ybor on 12/17 for their Anniversary party. This is an annual tradition that I'm there and the place is usually packed to the rafters. You betta be there.

I keep getting emails about the availability of the Rust disc. We are out of them but our distributor and most of the stores are in stock. No worries, just check your local store.

I've had a booking agent switch. Please direct all booking requests to Laura at TopDown. She's a real sweetheart and she promised me she would leave you with at least some cab fare. Check the contact section to get in touch.

See you all on the flip.

10-24-05:

It's getting crowded in here! My buddy Mark Sanchez just released his own DVD. Check it out here: Mark Sanchez "Club Nights"

Don't Forget Firestone in Orlando...Saturday November 12, 2005.

10-03-05:

SORRY - THE RUST DISCS ARE SOLD OUT AGAIN. NO MORE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

9-29-05:

New webmix up. No, I do not have a track listing...just enjoy it.

I'll be AWOL from 10/3 - 10/13 while I get some commercial real estate education done. I'll be back in time for the NHBBS party on the 15th in Daytona. No site updates or anything will be conducted during this time. Email and MySpace requests will likely go unanswered until the weekend.

We're down to less than 10 DVDs. They'll probably go in the next day or so and them I'm pulling the link down. I don't have any more and I'll likely have to buy them back from the people I sold them to if we need more. Grrr...

9-15-05:

SHARAZ RUST DVDS HAVE BEEN REPRESSED.

SOLD OUT AGAIN!!!!

Here's the deal. We had a stack of email from both stores and fans wanting more of these. We blew through the first pressing in three weeks and through our web allocation in 24 hours last February . We have only ZERO to sell this time. You'll have to get it in a store after that for a few bucks more. We're selling it for $11.99 + shipping. That's two discs, seven hours of breaks, five albums and 100 megs of unmixed MP3s. SOLDOUTSOLDOUTSOLDOUT

I rarely ever talk about stuff like this here, but I'm hooked on Jim Cramer's "Mad Money" on CNBC. I've never been hooked on a TV show before in my life, but this is now required viewing for me during the week. Seriously entertaining. The guy is a total animal. Booya!

9-09-05:

Sharaz 033 ships TODAY. This is a very limited record and we only got to have 6 copies for our own archive. It's gone, gone, gone...so get it when you see it.

Need to get the next newsletter out but have just been swamped. I tried to work on it last Friday, put it aside and...look, it's already Friday again!

Sharaz 034 expected to be a dual artist release with Baitercell and Schumacher from New Zealand on the flip. Good stuff; we'll post a clip soon.

9-01-05:

Working on the site a bit. Updated the music page to reflect all of our releases to date. Updated the links page. Sadly, a lot of our artist friends are gone (but not forgotten!). We'll be updating throughout the weekend.

8-31-05:

Wow, it's been a month? Time sure flies.

Many prayers go out to all our friends in Louisiana, Mississippi and the surrounding states after Hurricane Katrina. We're all thinking of you and send our prayers.

We've approved the tests for 033 and are expecting shipment any day now. We know a lot of folks are asking for this release and it should be out very soon, albeit a few weeks later than planned. No worries.

We're going to be giving a brand new track away on this website. I simply have too much music in the holding pattern to not release some of it free to our fans. Yes, it'll be free and in a high bitrate MP3 format. We used to give songs away all the time here but since stopped. It was a good idea and we'll resume that as you shall soon see. Stay tuned.

Finished a remix for my good, good friends DJ Fixx and Keith Mackenzie. This time they enlisted the help of MC Cles One (Monk/RITM) for all the rhyming. Lots of fun to do and it really works the floor.

8/26/05: Keith Mackenzie, Sharaz, After Dark Mark and Trixie.

034 is right on the heels of 033 and we'll be sending that master out in a week or so. Look for a clip of the Baitercell & Schumacher track within the next 10-15 days.

We want to thank all the great people of Oklahoma City for such a fantastic turnout at Skky Bar. We have some good video footage of my night there. Packed as you will see on the next DVD.

Rust will likely be repressed. I was supposed to order it last week but have been slammed. I may get the order in this week. We'll see.

UPCOMING DATES: in Nashville (9/16) and Birmingham, AL (9/17).

WICKED with over 30 djs in Daytona Beach @ Fuel in October. Stay tuned.

8-01-05:

New (not so new) track! I got a lot of emails about one of the clips I put up a year-and-a-half ago called "Why Don't You Want Me". I threw the clip up even though it wasn't finished. I revisited the track and re-composed it from scratch. This is officially one of the first tracks done in the new studio/workspace. Both 93.3 and 98.7's mixshows have gotten plenty of calls about this one. This will be part of 941-036, due toward the end of the year.

Check out the new song here: Sharaz - Why Don't You Want Me (mp3)

941-034 will likely be a joint effort of myself and New Zealand's Baitercell & Schumacher (What's Down Low, Lock and Load), etc). One of the sides will most definitely be "Black Butta" and the other is a floor stormer from B&S.  When the deal's closed we'll post a clip of the track.

Don't forget about Charlotte this Friday night (8/5) alongside Doc Roc and Rick West. I don't get up to the Carolinas much anymore, so let's make it count. Set time looks to be around 1:45 or so. See you there.

I am also doing an in-store appearance at Central Records at 4:30 on Friday (Charlotte, NC). Rick and Doc will be there, too!

7-25-05:

Just wanted to thank everyone for such a great birthday. Both Jacksonville and Cocoa Beach were perfect places to celebrate. I really have to say I've not seen a Jax show that packed in a few years. Never would have thought I'd ever see 1,100 people at my birthday party, ;) Thank you again.

Taken with my Treo camera-phone, here's a grainy shot of some half-naked ass from this weekend...ha-ha...(you're welcome, Dave)...

033 tests are here and the first batch was scratchy/noisy. We have a second shipment on the way. I suspect we'll approve those this week, and best guess is 2 weeks for shipment. Let's hope.

034 on deck right now.

Next up is OKC, Charlotte and Tulsa.

7-21-05::

Don't forget - this weekend. Sharaz's birthday, Part Doo. Last week 1,100 people showed up in Jacksonville at the Ocean Club.

Saturday, July 23 at 900 North in Cocoa Beach with Curtis B (Circuit Breaker remix) and Turntable Wizard Bandar. Be there! Last time we had a blast.

7-08-05:

Oh shit, I'm way behind letting everyone know where I'm gonna be in the future. Especially for my birthday (which falls on the 19th, btw). There are TWO birthday bashes planned. The first is in Jacksonville at the Ocean Club next Saturday (the 16th) and a week after at 900 North in Cocoa on the 23rd. More dates are planned for Charlotte, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Nashville, etc. etc.

Anyway, here's the list:

  • 7/16 - Jax (Ocean Club)

  • 7/23 - Cocoa Beach (900 North) I better see some of you out there like last time!

  • 8/05 - Charlotte, NC (Velocity)

  • 8/12 - Oklahoma City (Skyy Bar)

  • 8/13 - Tulsa

  • 10/16 - Memphis, TN*

  • 10/17 - Birmingham*

  • more dates on the way...

*=pending

033? Who knows. I'm still waiting on these little fuckers. 034 is sitting here on my desk waiting to go. Ho-hum. It'll be here soon enough.

Jeezus - thank you, DC. That much fun should be totally illegal. What a great time.

6-22-05:

Well, for the last week I've been battling a severe ear infection, most likely caused from diving off of Egmont Key a week ago. I went to the doctor last Friday for some antibiotics and ear drops but it's still clogged and quite painful. In fact, it spread down to my jaw last weekend and was so painful I was nearly in tears, couldn't sleep and - worst of all - couldn't hear out of my right ear (still can't). I'm going back for another checkup today because I may not be able to fly at all this weekend, and I'm due in the Fairfax/DC area. Last thing I need is a ruptured eardrum (link) from flying because that would cause serious long-term career issues. I'll get a go/no-go decision from the doc today. May be time for a road trip, first one in years...Grrrrrr....

Edit: Looks good. Thankfully pronounced fit for travel. Good deal. See all you Beltway peeps on Saturday...

033 tests are due any day. Likely in a week or so.

6-07-05:

Yeah, yeah...033 is going out today. 4 tracks on there. Sweet Lies, Clubstar, Weirdo and Twirl. And yeah, this one will be pressed in the same small numbers the last one was.

Just because it's cool to stick the description "nu" onto everything breaks-related lately, I'll offer up the following term to confuse everyone even more: NuBooty. If anyone wants to know what that is, check out some of the "NuBooty" stuff coming out lately. Deekline is starting to make a career out of this sound as are a few other people 'round the globe. What is it? Well, primarily it's old-school-sounding booty lyrics (i.e., "scrub tha ground...") with aggressive, nuschoolish-type production. I'm receiving a lot of unreleased music lately that's booty on the lyrics but dirty on the production. Baitercell & Schumacher and the aforementioned Deekline have been making a lot of this stuff. It's getting a better reaction than anything in recent memory, probably because most people relate to those booty/rap-style lyrics and that makes the whole grimy sound a lot easier to digest.

Up at Prana (3rd Floor) in Ybor this weekend (6/11) for Gemini's BDay party. I don't typically make a habit of playing in any one city more than a few times a year, but I always make an exception for the Gemini party. I'll be back in Tampa in late Fall/early Winter after this one.

Off next week to play some golf and then up to DC on 6/25 for the Mass Transit appearance. That one looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun.:)

Finally got around to making some music in the new studio. Still finding my way around Cubase SX3, but it works a lot like the old Logic, so it's just a matter of noting the different keystroke commands to accomplish what I did before.

6-03-05:

Don't worry, we're putting more stuff up on eBay soon. I really don't have much to sell, but may get rid of the last wave of equipment that's still boxed up from the recent move. I still have more old records, too, but the issue is with taking enough time to write up descriptions and get things into the eBay store.

Many thanks to the good people of Tampa and Daytona for all the support at my two shows last weekend....

Taking 2 months off did nothing for my mixing abilities, but that's easy to fix. The turnouts were excellent and everyone seemed to have a good time. Either way, mission accomplished. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'm dragging ass on 033 but will make sure it gets sent out before Monday. The labels are finished, and I just need to get my backside in gear and pop it in the mail.

Some people apparently thought this past weekend was my birthday. Not true. My birthday falls on July 19 every single year. Those birthday bashes will be 7/16 in Jax and 7/23 in Cocoa Beach.

5-19-05:

The new studio is finished. Details coming soon.

Thanks to everyone who picked up a copy of 941-032. We've been blowing out of those since they were shipped last week. You may notice we don't have any for sale here - that's because we don't have any left. Sorry.

Jacksonville at Ocean Club on July 16 for Sharaz's annual birthday party. Details to come.

Washington DC area, June 25 at Mass Transit. Flyer will be posted when we get it.

Sticking with tradition, 941-033 (i.e., "SHARAZ IS BOX-OFFICE POISON") will be another 4-tracker. "Sweet Lies", "One Phat DeeJay", "Clubstar" and "Twirl" will be on that one. Expect that in July sometime.

Yes, "Black Butta" will be on 941-034, probably with "Holdin' On" and another track. Look for that in August/September if the upcoming hurricanes don't blow us away.

5-12-05:

Sharaz 032 (The Fanatic) ships today. Expect them in stores next week. Big thanks to Mondo and Agent K for a fantastic job on the "VTown Track". This will be a quick in and out release for us and the run is totally sold. This is our first release in nearly a year. Now go get one!

5-1-05:

Okay, we're back...well, kind of. The new studio will be up and running by next weekend and we're filling it up with all kinds of goodies. We have a new Virus TI (check it) on order as well as an Elektron MachineDrum (check it) new in the box and a Minimoog Voyager (check it). It's like Christmas in May. We're topping it off with the new Reason 3.0, Acid 5.0 and I'm trying to learn the new Cubase after being a Logic user since 2000. We spent nearly $15,000 since the end of March preparing this new space to be a state-of-the-art breaks studio - even better and more efficient than before!

For the geeks out there, part of the new studio is a brand new music computer we built and it's a sick mo-fo. Brand new AMD FX55 64 bit machine with an Asus A8N SLI motherboard and dual nVidia 6800 GeForce Ultra video cards. We put two Raptor 74 gig SATA drives in a RAID 0 array along with 3 WD 250 gig SATA drives for data storage. We threw in a dual layer DVD burner for good measure. We're getting insane frame rates out of Doom 3.

The new computer wouldn't recognize my old MOTU 2408, so I retired that and installed an M-Audio 24/96. It sounds great.

So where the hell is Sharaz 032? The tests have been sitting on my dining room table for the last two weeks. Why? Because all my dj equipment is sitting in a PODS (Portable On Demand Storage) unit in a warehouse, 45 miles from here. I cannot listen to the 032 test presses until the storage units are delivered to my new house on 5/5. They'll likely be approved when the studio's back online. Give it two weeks after that to at least get finished and shipped. Never thought of taking a turntable with me to my interim place. You live, you learn.

Here's something new for your ears. No, it doesn't go "bwow, wow, wow, wow" like everything else right now. It's merely disco-inspired funky breaks goodness. Just like things are supposed to sound. Click here ("Holdin' On).

I kept my promise to myself, no appearances until the end of May. First one is the Underground in Tampa on 5/27 and Fuel in Daytona on 5/28.

941-033 is on deck. I'll post the tracklisting when I get settled in the new place.

4-05-05:

IN MEMORIAM:

I regret to announce the sudden and unexpected death of Corey Allen, a good friend and longtime supporter of our label. I really cannot stress enough how much influence Corey had on my early career as a dj. He was there when no one else was. More than that, he was here before everything, as my closest friend, through thick and through thin. We're all going to miss him terribly. Later, my good, good friend... :(

Corey Michael Allen
March 21, 1970 - March 27,2005

3-27-05:

This is gonna be the last update for a bit.

We're moving, the studio is torn down and most of the equipment has been sold. Why, you ask? Because I'm rebuilding the entire damn studio from scratch. New equipment all around, new computer, new mixing desk, new everything. I did keep a few items, such as the Virus and some other pieces for nostalgic purposes, but for the most part a lot of it has gone to new and loving homes.

I've turned down all dates for April and I haven't decided if I'll take any in May, either. I'm going flying and golfing for a few months while the studio and new house come together. I am getting ready to take my FAA instrument pilot test (my second pilot rating), so lots of studying in the meantime. Make sure you look up, because that buzz you hear over your head may be yours truly. :)

March 29 in Oklahoma City and March 30 in Tulsa...then off until...

Memorial Day weekend is the summer tour kickoff at Fuel in Daytona with Fixx and Lab 3. Then it's back to the touring grind.

June 25 on deck for Phoenix. There's more...so stay tuned.

032 on the way. 033, 034 and 035 will be released in rapid-fire succession - all of them by August if our plant can stay on schedule. All of these 12's are complete and in the queue.

Sorry, "Rust" DVDs will not be repressed until at least summer, if even then.

"Rust 2" filming all summer long. February 2006 release planned.

See you on the other side.

3-05-05:

After a lot of thought, looks like we'll proceed to 032 (THE FANATIC) in a week or so. Hurricanes last year, the death of the owner of our long-time pressing plant and a lot of other factors have made us a little skittish about another vinyl release, but we feel the vinyl market has recovered enough to support another release. 032 has been done for a while and it's a slammer.

The VTown Crew's "VTown Track", "Freek of the Weak", "Way Up Top" and "The Fanatic" will make this a solid 4 track EP. You will start seeing promo flyers at your local store and possibly in your mailbox very soon. We're keeping the pressings limited, as we always do.

Limited amount of new "Rust" DVDs back in stock. We order them and they sell out. The repress is limited. Get it while you still can. CLICK HERE.

Cocoa Beach next Saturday night (3/12) at the OLD STORM CLUB. Orlando cannot get it's act together, so consider this the only foreseeable Orlando-area booking for a while.

Ampitheater (Tampa) on 3/19. It's always packed, so arrive early.

JACKSONVILLE - YOU FUCKIN ROCK! THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT. WHOOP!!

2-27-05:

Wow, truthfully nothing we've ever put out has sold this quickly. We are clean out of discs and we sent the last of the Rust DVDs to our distributors. An entire run gone in a little over 3 weeks. Wow. We really expected this allocation of discs to take 3 months' minimum to sell. The market is much bigger than we anticipated and - especially because we cannot show up to any DVD release party without DVDs - a repress is on order. When we'll get them - 3 weeks is our best guess.

This proves our point once again that people love and will continue to support domestic - particularly Florida - breaks. Nuf said.

Big shouts to the people of Jacksonville for a out of control turnout last night at Club 5. Excellent!

Tulsa and Oklahoma City in March, along with Tampa, Cocoa Beach. Orlando, Charlotte and Daytona appearances on deck for April.

2-20-05

Just wanted to send a big "thank you" to the people of Vancouver and Austin who made the last two shows such memorable events.

2/26: Jacksonville (Club 5) this weekend, people. We'll have "Rust" DVDs there for sale and a few giveaways. See you there.

2-5-05:

The reviews are coming in and it looks good. About.com gave the "Rust" compilation 4.5 out of 5 stars. Read the review here.

Did you miss getting a "Rust" disc? Not to worry, we'll be putting some more back up in a week or so.

Most stores have sold out of their inventory. We have very few left ourselves. Repressing is up in the air.

We regret to inform everyone that the company pressing our vinyl suffered a big loss last week when the principal owner and vinyl cutter passed away unexpectedly. Projects are on hold for a few weeks until they get everything sorted out.

  • 2/12: Vancouver, BC

  • 2/18: Austin (Hard Rock)

  • 2/19: Salt Lake City (Vortex)

  • 2/26: Jacksonville (Club 5)

  • 3/12: Cocoa Beach (Storm Club)

  • 3/19: Tampa (Ampitheater)

1-27-05:

All sold out! No more. Nada. Gone. Zip. The 100 reserved preorder DVD/CDs went in one day. Thank you very much. The entire shipment is expected tomorrow and shipments begin on Monday. A resounding thank you! Check with your local stores next week for availability.

We are donating the proceeds of 5 discs to the American Cancer Society. :)

We'd like to extend a genuine "thank you" to everyone who bought the new DVD. We sold nearly 80 discs yesterday off the site. After they're gone, we're taking a powder and letting the stores have some fun. Grab it now.

1-25-05:

We are staring at a box of 10 Rust DVDs FedEx'd to us today. They're fine, pass our QC check and ready for sale. The remainder of the shipment will be here Friday and deliveries will start on Monday. We beat our deadline, too, by about 5 days. We're allowing only 100 for the time-being because the entire shipment is spoken for and there are no more pressings planned.

1-24-05:

Rust DVDs are finished and will ship to us tomorrow. Preorders expected to be taken on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. We will do a quality check on a few discs first and then proceed to offer preorders. EXTREMELY LIMITED. WE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH DISCS TO SHIP TO OUR DISTRIBUTORS.

Found some brand new, unplayed 001s, 002s, 015s, 016s, Pyramid Project 001s and some others. They're in the store.

1-18-05:

The official "Rust" webpage is up. Check it out.

Our beloved Triton is for sale. Go to the eBay store and check it out. I just haven't used it in over a year and it's one less thing I have to move when the new house is done. It's expanded with the MOSS analog synth board, SCSI borad and the Dance expansion board. It's pretty much like new. So if you needed one of these, here ya go.

I will get the tour dates up ASAP...just been busy. Lots of dates, some actually in Florida this time. LOL!

1-14-04:

Check out the new Sharaz Monthly Mixshow on Memphis, TN's #1 radio station, Q107.5 FM. Sharaz will be featured monthly on Memphis' #1 hit music station on CLUB Q on Saturday nights. First mix was in December and the next one is scheduled for next week and every single month after! CLUB Q starts at 12 CST. More stations on the way. If you know of a station in your area that could use a little more booty moving music, drop us an email. Breaks are taking over baby! LIVE STATION FEED IS HERE.

Speaking of radio, Sharaz will be holding things down on Tampa Bay's #1 hit station 93.3 FLZ THIS SATURDAY!! The madness starts at 8, so don't be late! LIVE STATION FEED IS HERE.

1-12-05::

Want a free DVD? We'll be initiating our "Host It & Post It" promotion within the next day or so. How does it work? We'll give you a link to download and post the "Rust" trailer on your website. Everyone who hosts the trailer (you see to the left) on their website or MySpace page will receive a free DVD when they're released plus their link will go right here on our site as part of the "Rust" webring. Details soon...

Looks like "Rust" will finally be a reality here in a few weeks. It was sent off (for the 3rd time since July) and paid for. Everything's been on hold while the project is being finished. No vinyl...nothing. This has been a really important step because we vowed not to release any more discs two years ago. The CD market by all accounts is in terrible shape (just as we predicted) and this is an extremely risky venture for us.

We plan on selling the discs at $13.99 off the website. If you can find a better deal then go for it. We're the first to try this - that much we can say. And, as with anything, I'm holding off on touting a release date because anything can happen. Manufacturing problems, shipping problems - you name it. Nothing is solidified until I get the word the discs are in the mail.

The official "Rust" webpage is here.

Vancouver, BC on 2/12/05 with DJ Keri and Lady Dana.

More dates lined up through March, be patient while I sort out the calendar.

Contrary to what I said earlier, we're NOT going to WMC. I don't know what I was thinking. Pay no attention to me. :)

1-02-05:

Happy new year! We'd like to thank everyone who came our to see Sharaz in Nashville on New Year's Eve. People drove from as far away as Wisconsin to check out the party and we appreciate it.

2004 was a rough year. The hurricanes, the death of a valued friend to cancer, numerous cancelled bookings, long-time DJ friends giving up and quitting, and vinyl stores and once solid promoters going out of business seemed to plague the last 12 months. We had some great highlights in 04, got to visit some fantastic places and meet some amazing people, but we could do without the same drama in 05, that's for sure. So into 2005 we head with a positive outlook. We sure hope you'll stick with us. :)

"Rust" tour dates will be assembled soon. Stay tuned.

"Ill Behavior" CDs at the eBay store. Go get 'em.

12-29-04:

To be clear about this, "Rust" preorders will be taken in late January, and ONLY when we have a confirmed shipping date. Last time we did preorders the product got held up. No sense in taking any preorders until there is a confirmed ship date. Late January is the target with a 1st to 2nd week of February street date.

12-27-04

"Deliverance" and "Horizon" cds found + some old, sealed records. Up in the eBay store. More on the way! We're finding stuff every day. CLICK HERE!

Don't forget about NYE in Nashville. Looking forward to a great event.

DVD is going out in a week or so. PREORDERS WILL BE TAKEN IN VERY LIMITED NUMBERS at our eBay store. First come, first served. We will not have enough to go around. Final price has not been set, but we're expecting somewhere in the $13-$14 range for this double disc (DVD/CD) set. The mix cd is going through its final revision this week. If you're curious as to what's on this disc, check the "RUST" DATA LISTING for more info.

12-14-04:

**NOTICE** EVERYTHING MUST GO!

WELL, ALMOST EVERYTHING...MOVING SALE!! WE ARE MOVING TO SOME NEW DIGS AND WE'RE FINDING LOTS AND LOTS OF GOODIES. CHECK OUT THE EBAY STORE: RARE CDS, RECORDS, TEST PRESSINGS, EVEN STUDIO EQUIPMENT...WE'RE ADDING STUFF EVERY DAY AS WE CLEAN OUT LONG-FORGOTTEN STORAGE SPACES AND BOXES. CLICK HERE!

12-11.04:

Sharaz ... CLUB SENSES ... Memphis. 12/17/04.

12-01-04:

New Bambaataa album goes #1 on the CMJ RPM charts, passing by Hybrid, Tiesto, Fatboy Slim, Prodigy and a whole bunch of others. This is a big, big deal to us because we produced a few tracks on this monster, including the extremely well-reviewed "Almighty Ra".

From About.com (5 stars):

While 'looking for the perfect beat' on this new work I came across "Almighty Rah" (a perfect mix with that 1982 Arthur Baker mix, by the way), with its infectious whining synthesizer and sneaky smooth lyrics highlighted by the classic vocoder sound of that era come again. I put five check marks next to this one! READ THE FULL REVIEW.

From PopMatters (UK):

"Almighty Rah" comes closest to the signature sound. The shrieking, air rain siren synths; creeping, almost sinister bassline and dubby vocoder are definitive elements that still have plenty of life in them. Bambaataa keeps it real and current by bringing in TC Islam for an appropriately tense rap ("This is not your car / this not your house..."). READ THE FULL REVIEW.

More reviews as they come in...

Check out the November Newsletter.

11-10-04:

Classics V4 in the EBAY store. Less than 15 available and then they're G-O-N-E. Special pricing.

11-09-04:

Malicious Mike now on deck to contribute a "Circuit Breaker 2005" remix. We're gonna give it away FREE, too (Rust).

Check out the SELEKTA interview with Sharaz. Click here.

Sharaz mentioned in this month's REMIX Magazine in the Afrika Bambaataa article.

Those who are asking about future vinyl releases, you'll be happy to know that things are going into high gear next year. The hurricanes screwed a LOT of things up, including our release schedule. After January, though, watch out - a lot of music has been created since "Ohm".

Yeah, and about this little gem (click here) - it'll be out, too very soon (next release).

11-07-04:

941 CLASSICS V.4 will be on shelves this week. This is a 4 track album with 2 unreleased, classic tracks. We kept the price low and the numbers really limited. Tracks are: Sharaz - "Rain", Infiniti - "Running Away", Sharaz - "Baby Like To Break" (unreleased) and Sharaz - "Damascus" (unreleased).

The "Rust" DVD has taken on a life of its own. Now encompassing an unprecedented 7 HOURS OF MUSIC, it'll be out in mid-February. Guess what? This disc will cost LESS than some recent, much bigger SINGLE CD releases. I'm pretty proud of that. The fact remains that manufacturing a CD/DVD combo now costs about the same as a single CD did 2 years ago. Why anyone would sell single 80 minute mix CDs at 2001 prices in this ailing market is way beyond me. Some people didn't get the memo and we're going to change common thinking. Caveat Emptor.

Also, "CIRCUIT BREAKER 2005" remixes are coming in. These will all be FREE MP3s available ONLY on the "Rust" 2 disc set. I did one, Dave Berg (Low Phat) is contributing along with a few other folks, some you know, some you don't. But then again, that's the point - giving some lesser-known producers some exposure. This is a special project for the DVD only and no vinyl release is planned.

So I didn't bring my camera. Damn. My appearance in Salt Lake City last weekend was amazing. 8-inches of snow fell overnight and I woke to a white wonderland. Excellent turnout and we thank the folks who put this show on. Back out west again next week to Colorado Springs.

Aquasky vs. Masterblaster remix out now ("Addiction").

NEW SONGS, CHECK THEM OUT:

  5. SHARAZ - "One Phat DJ" CLICK HERE

Notice a pattern? Yeah, they're almost all vocal tracks. Time to get back to basics. Everyone else can do what they want, we're back to making and, most importantly, SUPPORTING Florida breaks. Screw the naysayers.

Afrika Bambaataa's "Dark Matter Moving" album came out a few weeks back. Sharaz gets mentioned in this month's REMIX magazine, as does Infiniti.

Where's Sharaz?

Colorado Springs (11/17), Charlotte (11/19)

10-11-04:

Follow the progress of the DVD release on our Myspace blog. Go here.

10-7-04:

Okay, so here's the deal. The DVD/CD is coming out. The CD tracklisting has been revised quite a bit. In fact, we threw out the old tracklisting entirely and redid the CD. To sweeten the deal, the compilation encompasses FOUR ALBUMS in one package. Yeah, that's right. FOUR ALBUMS. So which albums? How about the new "Rust" CD itself, "Horizon" from 1999, "Deliverance" from 2000 and "Turn It Up" from 2001. All this and the new DVD as well. I just cannot cram anything else on there or I'd fit the kitchen sink in as well. The price? Oh, about the same as a regular CD. Why? Because I can. The previous, older CDs are in 320kbps MP3 format on the DVD ripped directly from the masters. Just drag it and burn or put it on your iPod. There's full artwork scans on there, too. It's a double disc set - one CD and one multiformat DVD. There will be preorders taken by the end of October with a projected mid-November release date. VERY LIMITED.

Since I have to do this all by myself, I'm holding off on any new vinyl right now until this project is done and out. You may see 032 by December but don't hold your breath. Since December and January suck ass for vinyl sales, we may be looking at February or March of 2005 before this sees the light of day. No one buys shit during those months, so what would be the point?

Shame on you if you missed the Ampitheater show. Infiniti was there throwing down some records with me. Tsk tsk.

10-2-04:

People, if you want to send us tracks, please send them to our GMail address. Make sure they're MP3 encoded to at least 192kbps. We have enough storage for about 100 songs and check the account regularly. No, we do not share our MP3s with anyone. We get a lot of our music over AIM, but getting bombarded every time we sign on is a pain.Ampitheater TONIGHT, kiddies. Free entry until midnight. Ybor City.

941-032 goin' out next week for tests. Peep it below, peeps.

Got hammer? Got nails? Repairing the damage to the studio. Lots of things torn up but even trying to work outside is a problem due to a lot of displaced and very angry wasps. Music-centric stuff getting done, albeit slowly.

Have Los Angeles and Dallas pics but haven't had time to upload them. Be patient.

Much needed vacation coming up. A month straight and no rest. Couple that with the hurricanes and all the work around here and I need a break for a few weeks. Late Fall schedule will be up eventually but shit's slow right now anyway.

The "Rust" DVD will likely come out. I dunno when.

9-29-04:

Been conned into a MYSPACE account. Someone said it would be good for me. I don't know about that. Don't really have a lot of time to maintain anything else right now, but there it is. Hey, holla!

 Sharaz on MySpace

Don't forget the Ampitheater on Saturday night (10/2) in Ybor. Always a good time. DJ Mondo's CD release party. Whoop whoop.

9-28-04:

Okay, alright. You wanted some new tracks and here they are. 941-032 will go out in a week or so when I get around to it. 032 is a 4 tracker.

941-032 PREVIEW:

  1. Freak of the Week (mp3)

  2. Clubstar (mp3)

  3. One Phat DJ (mp3)

  4. ??? (mp3)

Looking forward to seeing all of our friends in Lafayette, LA this Thursday as well as you friend is Tampa at the Amphitheater on Saturday.

We sustained some minor studio damage during hurricane Jeanne. What else is new? I guess that's what insurance is for.

Anyone need a Korg Triton? Ours is going up for sale in a few days on eBay. We just don't use this beauty anymore and it's kinda sad seeing it sit in the corner like it is. Maybe someone can give it a good home. Check back for the auction.

9-11-04:

Jackson-FREAKIN-ville! All we can say is "holy ----!" Thank you a million times for a great turnout and a fantastic show. This ranks way, way up there for 2004. Much luv to the heads who showed up at the in-store appearance in JVille.

Our thoughts are with those who suffered 3 years ago in the terrorist attacks.

Hey, if you're in Ybor tonight, go see Infiniti. Seeing him in the Tampa Bay area is like seeing the Hale Bopp comet once every 5,000,000 years. He's over at L3 - I wish I'd posted this earlier but just plain forgot. Way too tired to attend, so I'm pouring one for my homie... :(

Doing a new webmix tonight. So vote for Sharaz, you slackasses, or no mo' free shit, ya hear? Heh heh.

9-9-04:

Hey, we finally got a new email address. Nice. We would like to thank our friend Derek Wheeler for inviting us to use the new 1 gig Google system. Email us here.

9-8-04:

Frances damaged some of our studio, nothing more than cosmetic stuff. Hurricane Ivan is on the way now. (storm track link)

Jacksonville is on deck for this weekend (9/10). It's Dave Berg's (DBI Distribution) birthday at Ocean Club. Looks like we're gonna have a good time.

Yep, Floyds was cancelled because of weather. They'll be rescheduling.

Looks like Dallas is being added last minute to replace San Francisco's cancelled date on 9/17. We'll hit you up with details ASAP. We love our Dallas fans!

Lots of business shit going on right now (label-related and otherwise), so it's getting harder to sit down in the studio and actually make music these days. Travel is eating up what used to be "creative" time. Boy, I miss the old days. ;)

9-4-02:

Just barely got back from Denver. Got the last flight in.

I'm not sure what's happening with Floyd's at the Hard Rock tomorrow. Before anyone heads down there to see me, check to see if the place is even open. To all our east coast friends, be safe. Looks like it's gonna be a long couple of days. Our prayers are with you.

9-2-04:

Looks like another storm (Frances) is headed our way. This one's a Category V with winds in excess of 145 mph. Many prayers to our friends on the east coast of Florida. Track it here.

San Francisco appearance (link) with Craze and Rabbit In The Moon looks cancelled (link). I have no idea why - but found out by browsing the SF rave boards.

Some other appearances on the horizon but I'm not posting them until they're 100% confirmed. No sense in that because people have gotten too flakey.

8-27-04:

Date added: Lafayette, LA (Stan's with DJ Trashy)

Finished up a remix for former Top 40 act The Outhere Brothers (LINK) of their classic "Boom Boom Boom". Their label should have this out in late Fall.

Finished up a remix for Low Phat called "From The Bottom To The Top". Funny, but I cannot remember the original artist - I'm pretty sure it was Keith Mackenzie and Fixx. Maybe I should ask about these things? Haha.

SAN FRANCISCO FLYER IS HERE - SF FLYER

Fall is filling up fast. There may be some additional cities out west. Stay tuned. Here's the current tour schedule:

Keep spinnin'!

8-19-04:

We're getting a lot of questions about the removal of the 941 apparel line. As stated way back when, the 941 apparel line was a LIMITED EDITION offering. Like everything else we do, get it while it's there because we're gonna pull it when it loses our interest. We will put new stuff up eventually, but for now it's gone permanently. Tally: "iMix" shirts sold: 387 (all styles); "Rap Sucks" shirts sold: 262. Check eBay.

We've also been getting a lot of email about older CDs, specifically "Deliverance" and "Horizon". WTF is going on lately with requests for these old CDs? Most will be happy to know, both "Deliverance" and "Horizon" are included on the upcoming DVD with full artwork. You'll just be able to drag and burn. No, I don't know when it's coming out (see below).

Planning to post a lot of pics from Los Angeles.

8-17-04:

Three whole months from the last update? Hmmm. Hope you guys are having a great summer. We were narrowly missed by Hurricane Charley last week - good thing.

Okay, so here's what's going on:

Our summer has been a combination of slow and busy. In fact, this has to be the most unpredictable summer we've seen in our 6 years here. Flaky promoters seem to be the rule rather than the exception. Fall is busy, but you never know in this business.

"Ohm" a big hit with those particular import buyers. No scheduled date for 032 ("Freak of the Week" - the intro song to this site). I may get around to it possibly in October or November, maybe later.

Low Phat releasing "The Dragon" this fall.

Hurricane Charley screwed up some of the mail service down here, so some of you eBay buyers might find some really slow deliveries until things are moving normally again.

Sharaz now sponsored by Numark. Cool.

5-20-04:

Finished up a new remix for Aquasky and Masterblaster entitled "Addiction", not to be confused with the other Sharaz remix called "Addicted" by Mark Sanchez. No word on a release date, but it will be part of a record with remixes by BLIM. Add this to another in the long line of remixes we've done for respected, world-renown artists. Clip will be available soon.

Cities on deck: Oklahoma City.

5-3-04:

Sharaz in Cocoa Beach at Solar Club, Saturday, May 8. Doors open at 9.

Cities on deck: New Orleans, Oklahoma City and Birmingham.

Reminder to sign up for our newsletter if you haven't already. BTW, Road Runner addresses will NOT receive our newsletter because of some weird glitch with our webmail provider. We apologize for this.

4-11-04:

Classics V4 is off to the press as well as Sharaz 031. Classics V4 is "Rain", "Running Away", "Baby Likes To Break" and "Damascus". Should be out in June/July. We did say we weren't doing any more of these, but people want them enough to routinely fill our mailbox up with requests for more. And we don't argue with our fans.

Sharaz 031 has "Ohm" and "Rhubarb". We think you'll love this record as "Rhubarb" brings back the once familiar hands-in-the-air style that made early breaks so much fun the begin with. "Ohm" is more grungy. We'll post some clips soon.

Sharaz 030 ("ROUGHNECK") - we're still waiting on these. They were promised last Thursday, but it's likely the plant is a few days behind. This week is almost a 100% certainty.

4-01-04:

Tests are in for 030. Actually, they've been in for a week or so. That means 030 should be on the shelves here just about any day. We're really excited about this release. And you should be, too! :)

About.com put up a great interview with Sharaz. Click here to read the interview.

The Sharaz DVD is 2/3rds finished. So far it consists of a 45 minute video mix, a tour of Infiniti and Sharaz's studios, photo album and an interview with Sharaz. More is being added, specifically a how-to, step-by-step section on how we construct our tracks. This DVD will also come with a 12-14 track mix cd. Whadda deal!

Working on a new track with Afrika Bambaataa at present.

Denver rocks. Check out the short Quicktime movie by clicking here.

There are some changes to Sharaz's tour schedule that are NOT in the pop-up. Jacksonville is now 5/1 at Club 5. And, as stated before, Winston/Salem is for 4/23. Jackson, MS and Rochester, NY are cancelled. Phoenix, Biloxi, MS and Mobile, AL are on deck for May.

We are contemplating a Classics Volume 4 because of the response to the past 3 releases. We'll keep you informed.

For those who've been following the drama, Sharaz got his pilot's license on Monday. Watch out!

3-7-04:

ATTENTION: THE OFFICIAL DATE FOR SHARAZ'S APPEARANCE AT ICON (ORLANDO) IS MARCH 19 - NOT MARCH 12.

OFFICIAL DATE FOR WINSTON/SALEM IS APRIL 23, NOT APRIL 24.

OUR MISTAKE.

Next Saturday 3/13, get ready. Ampitheater is on. Sharaz + Spring Break. Enough said.

3/27 - Denver, Colorado, Watch out.

2-18-04:

Insane! 030 is off and ready to go. You do not want to miss this record. 4 new tracks - 4 different tracks - from dirty to funky to downtempo to vocal. DJ Icey placed "Roughneck" in his top 5. We are purposely pressing way, way less than demand this time. The release won't last long, so grab it. Here are the tracks, listen to the entire album below!

RIGHT CLICK...THEN SAVE AS...

Roughneck (mp3) - DJ Icey #4 for 2/04. Dirty s-h-i-t!

How Long (mp3) as heard on XM Radio

Another Day (mp3) sweet vocals for the vocal junkies!

9mm (mp3) straight up Florida funky breaks!

Look for a new interview with Sharaz at About.com. Check out their previous interviews here.

Do NOT miss Icon in Orlando on Friday March 12, 2004. Sharaz will be there playing a whole lot of new tracks live and in person. It's also Spring Break, so the place will be busy. We want to see you!

Finally started work on our DVD. It's final, this will be a combo DVD/Mix CD. The track listing is being worked out right now. Look for a May/June release. Lots of unreleased tracks + an exclusive video for Infiniti's mix of "Who's In Control".

230 "iMix" shirts sold to date! Unreal!

1-29-04:

So what's up?

January's been a busy month here and a long-needed vacation is in order.

029 did extremely well. We appreciate all the folks who bought both the black and limited edition blue vinyl

Release schedule: unknown at the moment. Most likely March for #030. Sharaz is taking the month of February off to complete his flight school training. That means no remixes, no music and no appearances for the month of February. The release IS going off this week, but will be followed up near the end of the month. Tracks include "Roughneck" and "This Is Fucking Garbage" + one more.

"Right now, I'm doing three days a week in flight training and two days a week flying commercial as a dj. That's 5 days in the air in one form or another," he says. The purpose for the training? "To get to my gigs within 300 miles." There's a lot of studying involved and Sharaz is coming up on his FAA test in a few weeks.

Also, look out for a release from the Bass Mekanik of his "Geometron" song + a remix by Sharaz. We'll post the audio in a few days.

Our webstore is a greater success than anyone anticipated. We have finally caught up with all the orders and are floored by the success of both that and our apparel line. We've sold nearly 200 "iMix" t-shirts since December.

Appearance schedule:

1-31-04 - Tampa/Hard Rock; 3-6-04 - Orlando/Icon; 3-13-04 - Tampa/Ampitheater; 3-26-04 - Las Vegas/Rain; 3-27-04 - Denver, CO 4-23-04 - Jacksonville; 4-24-04 - Winston/Salem

Major shout-outs to the good folks of Vancouver, BC who gave 941 a VERY warm welcome last weekend. THANK YOU!

1-03-04:

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

030 should be out in February sometime.

Remixes on deck: Bass Mekanik and Mark Sanchez.

Join Sharaz at Orlando's Icon club on Friday, January 16, 2004. This is the first time in a year Sharaz has been at Icon. It may be another year before he decides to return. Mark your calendar.

Sharaz bio updated.

12-03-03:

Don't miss our annual holiday sale! We have all kinds of great deals for our fans. Skip the stores and get your schwag directly from us!

Don't miss Sharaz at The Ampitheater in Ybor City on December 20 for Ampi's 5 year Anniversary party. Sharaz plays only twice a year in Tampa, so do not miss this show.

Sharaz 029 and Classics V3 out now.

11-10-03:

Getting a newsletter out is becoming harder than ever. So many things going on.

Many thanks to the people of Portland, OR and Memphis for the great turnout. Much footage has been shot.

DVD project is still on. Before we start the project, however, distribution needs to be in place. We are working on a deal with Sony to have our DVDs distributed. Look for a possible February/March release at this point on a larger label. Stay tuned.

Sharaz 028 sold out. Thank you. Sharaz 029 shipping on 11/24. 3 tracks total (C:/, Watch Your Back and one other track). Classics Volume 3 also due out...which brings us to...

Classics Series is ENDING at Volume 3. If you dumped your records for cheap, too bad. We said there wouldn't be many volumes, so you were warned. Tsk tsk.

On deck: Dallas, New Orleans, Tampa and Melbourne for December. See you there!

10-7-03:

We're moving into a new look. A little cleaner but still not exactly what we want. We have an entirely new site complete but haven't had the time to put it up. Soon, hopefully.

Our biggest news is the addition of an apparel line. Nothing big, but we designed a few items with the dj in mind. There aren't too many breaks-related clothing lines out there and we wanted to give it a try. Instead of blatantly promoting our label, we kind of put that on the back burner  and designed a few dj-centric items. We have a ton of new styles, so we'll be changing the store frequently.

The 941 Classics compilations are a resounding success. There have been a few fans out there who've wondered why we would bother with this at all - some have even gotten angry. Truthfully, we did this because we felt it was time because the secondary market was slowing down. We also have quite a few older tracks that need to get out. Unfortunately, there's no room for these on upcoming releases and the older tracks fit well with the old unreleased stuff. These aren't represses anyway, they're comps of old tracks and shouldn't affect the value of the old originals. We plan on 5 volumes - 12 old tracks and 8 unreleased tracks in total. That's around 10% of our previously-released catalo - next to nothing within the scope of all our tracks. The originals are still the originals and they're still as limited as ever. Same goes for our new releases - you'll never see them again in the same form.

028 has been released and is doing very well. Classics V3 will drop at right around the same time as 029.

029 due out in three or four weeks. Tracks are "C:\" and "Watch Your Back".

Sharaz on tour: Portland, OR (10/18), Memphis with Richard Humpty Vision and New Orleans. All within the next 4 weeks. No Florida dates planned - no room in his schedule at this time.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Normally we don't complain on our website, but this deserves a mention. We'd like to take this time to thank Moonshine Music for RIPPING OFF every single artist involved with the Baby Anne "Live at Ra" cd.
